Beet Rice
This is a very simple recipe for a red colored rice. It looks and tastes great. Little kids will love it! Beetroot gives a sweet taste that is combined with vinegar to give an interesting result. It is a fun way to eat your rice instead of simply cooking it alone. This recipe is inepxensive and can be used as a side dish or main meal if combined with some cheese or nuts. Mashed potatoes with Tomato
This recipe is one of those I call “table recipes”, as you can make one on your plate while eating, combining ingredients that you have on your table. For this one you combine roasted potatoes with salad ingredients. you just add curry powder and dried parsley, which you can store in your capboard or even carry along in a small jar.
Whole Wheat Breakfast with Yogurt
This is a very simple recipe with whole wheat. Whole wheat is a great food to store for long term and also buy in bulk to save money. The thing is many people are asking how to use it. This is a good example. Soak the wheat into water for 2 hours. Then boil it for 15 minutes and then enjoy it as your breakfast cereals. Mix it with cinamun, nuts, raisins, toss in some pieces of apple, add honey and serve with Greek Yogurt!

This is an easy and delicious way to cook and enjoy whole wheat kernels. Combining wheat with nuts provides all essential amino acids which means full protein. Honey is my favorite sweetener but you can use whatever you have available. Fruit juice also provides sweetness.
